I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who has supported and is supporting what we are building at Hiking My Feelings.
Quitting two jobs in the span of four months last year was one of the scariest decisions I've ever made. It's also been the most rewarding.
We've done 24 talks and 43 hikes since we started the tour in October last year and to say it has changed my life is an understatement.
My Type 2 Diabetes is in remission, and Barry and I have lost more than 100 pounds combined.
While the diabetes management is my responsibility, none of this would be possible without his support.
None of this would be possible if I didn't quit those jobs.
None of this would be possible if you didn't let us park at your house, donate, buy hats, come to talks, join us for hikes, like our photos, make introductions, give me feedback, answer my questions, watch our videos, and tell your friends about what we are doing. In a world that requires significant resources, your support, financial or otherwise, is literally what keeps this work alive.
With every opportunity that comes our way we ask ourselves two questions:
Will this make the world a better place for everyone, not just for some?
Does this make us feel good?
So far, the answer to both of those questions, as it pertains to this chapter of our lives, is a full-body YES!
So thank you. For being you, for bringing your energy however you bring it, and for believing in us.
We love you so very much.
